Milieukontakt International has recently started a new four-year programme in the Western Balkans called “Joining Forces for a Sustainable Future in the Western Balkans”. The programme will be implemented in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, Macedonia and Kosovo. The duration of the project: February, 2007- December, 2010.
The overall objective of the programme is to contribute to the transition process towards (further) democratisation, sustainable development and stability in the Western Balkans. Green Agenda is a participatory method to develop sustainable development strategies and action plans on the local level with active involvement of the local population, NGOs, local government and business.
At this moment Milieukontakt is looking for NGOs that are interested in setting up a Green Agenda process in their community (or a nearby community with which they already have good contacts).
The first step in the selection procedure is the pre-selection of 8 NGOs for the training which is planned for 9-11th November, 2007. Final selection of 3NGOs will be done after the training and on basis of criteria:
o questionnaire and application;
o performance during the training;
o the quality of the assignment given at the training
The selection process is expected to be finalized in the beginning of December.
If your NGO is interested in participation and setting up Green Agenda process in your community, we kindly ask you to fill out the Questionnaire for Assessment of NGOs’ Capacities and Application Form for the training.
Deadline for sending in the questionnaire and the application form is 23rd October, 2007; 17.00 hrs.
Please note, that this deadline will be used strictly. Questionnaires and applications received after the deadline, as well as incomplete questionnaires and applications will not be taken into consideration.
If possible submit the questionnaire and the application in English. Please note that it is not one of criteria for the selection.
